Early last month, the video game community around the globe found out Street Fighter executive producer, Yoshinori Ono, would be leaving Capcom after almost 30 years at the company.
In a message on Twitter, he said the new generation at Capcom would continue to expand the Street Fighter series over the coming years. Now, in a new series of tweets, Ono has reminded fans he will leave the company within several days – once again thanking all the world warriors:
Within several days, I will officially leave Capcom. I understand it’s standard for a general employee to make a resignation announcement AFTER the fact. Capcom has agreed that I am allowed to make the announcement approximately one month prior to my actual last day at the company
I am truly grateful that the company gave me a chance to spend the time with many Street Fighter fans while I am still with Capcom. Also I was able to reach out to those individuals and companies I’ve worked with closely.
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to reach out to all the people I’ve worked with in the past, but I’d like to take this opportunity to show my gratitude to them. Thank you very much to All World Warriors. I look forward to meeting you all again someday in somewhere around the globe.
To see his original goodbye message, check out our previous post. Thanks again for everything, Mr. Ono.
