Niantic’s outdoor mobile game Pokémon GO is reportedly making even more money than it previously was now that people around the globe have gone into lockdown.
According to Sensor Tower data (via VentureBeat), global player spending in the game reached $23 million last week on 16th March, which was an increase of 66.7% from the previous week. The reason for this revenue increase is all tied to the recent changes made to the game (including increasing the rate of spawns), to encourage people to stay indoors.

The majority of the $23 million the game made in the past week has come from the United States, where players spent a total of $7.8 million – equating to “http://www.nintendolife.com/about” 34% of the week’s total amount.
