With Nintendo and Brie Larson becoming best buds recently, and with The Pokémon Company teaming up with the likes of Katy Perry and Post Malone, it perhaps comes as little shock that Nintendo of Korea has struck up a new promotional campaign with popular K-pop group, TWICE.
The girl group, which has over 10 million subscribers on YouTube and has topped the Billboard World Albums chart, has teamed up with Nintendo to create a series of promo images advertising the Switch. Posted on Nintendo’s official website, these images show the band playing a variety of Switch’s biggest games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Ring Fit Adventure.
Thankfully, the group hasn’t simply been drafted in from nowhere to pretend that they enjoy playing Nintendo games. As reported by Koreaboo, members of the group revealed that they were hooked on Animal Crossing: New Horizons when it launched last year.
And hey, it looks like it’s working already:
