It seems as if the floodgates have opened for cloud game releases on the Nintendo Switch. Following on from the announcement of Hitman 3 and the release of Control, dataminers have now reportedly uncovered evidence of the Resident Evil 3 remake coming to the Switch via cloud technology.
This information comes from the Control cloud website. Industry analyst, Daniel Ahmad, says while there are no plans for a native version of the game “right now”, a cloud version is being explored, and below we seemingly have evidence of this:
Of course, this wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen a Resident Evil game come to the Nintendo Switch via the cloud. While Capcom has released of its games in digital form on the Switch, a cloud version of Biohazard 7 (aka Resident Evil 7) was previously released in Japan in 2018.
