Whether you’re looking for the latest and greatest model to create single servings or brew large carafes of java, we’ll help you find all the best Black Friday coffee machine deals.
We’ll keep you posted on the best deals we can find, and we’ll update this post as we find new deals.
What Black Friday coffee machine deals to expect
You can count on major online retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Target, and more to pull all the stops for this year’s Black Friday sales. Coffee machines have sold very well this year, as have most other kitchen appliances and work from home devices and electronics. Fortunately, there has been a huge interest in quality coffee makers and machines in the past few years, leading to strong inventories. You will easily find standard 10-to-12 cup coffee brewers priced under $50, with a few closer to $20. Some of the biggest discounts will be in the middle market, with coffee machines that sell for $75 to $250.
Single-serve coffee machines that use Keurig and Nespresso capsules are extremely popular. Keurig sells many coffee machine models, as do Breville and DeLonghi, the two companies licensed to manufacture Nespresso single-serve coffee and espresso machines to sell in the U.S. You can often find discounts ranging from 40 to 50% on these single-serve models, and in some cases the deals can be for as much as 60% off.
What Black Friday coffee machine deals we saw last year
We surveyed coffee maker prices for the last two years, including Prime Day, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday sales. We looked at coffee makers and machines from Mr. Coffee, Cuisinart, Hamilton Beach, Keurig, Breville, De’Longhi, Ninja, Black and Decker, and more. Overall, most coffee maker deals during Black Friday were discounted from 25% to 50%. We saw a few older machines with prices cut as much as 65% to 70%, but those were the exceptions. An older model that’s new to you may be the best deal you could get and be totally satisfying. If you’re tracking one or more current year coffee makers and see one on your list on sale during Black Friday at half price, we suggest you snap it up.
Should you buy a coffee machine on Black Friday or Cyber Monday?
If you can wait for Black Friday, that’s when you’ll find the best deals on the biggest selection of name brand coffee machines. It’s marginally possible that merchants may drop some prices even more for Cyber Monday on inventory that hasn’t moved out in expected quantities but don’t count on it. If you see a coffee machine you know you’d be happy with at a great price on Black Friday, we recommend buying it when you first see it. If you wait, you might save a tiny bit of money, but it’s even more likely the stock will sell out and won’t be available on Cyber Monday.
The best coffee machine deals happening now
Whether you want a top-of-the-line espresso maker or you’re happy with a drip pot for that ever-so-important first cup in the morning, many retailers are already offering attractive coffee machine deals. The following are today’s best coffee machine deals:
How to choose a new coffee machine
Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Target, and almost every other major online retailer will have Black Friday coffee machine deals, and all the options can make it hard to choose. Here are the major factors to consider before you click on the Buy button.
Do you prefer espresso, coffee, or cold brew?
What kind of coffee do you drink? There’s no need to get too fancy if your needs are relatively simple. Some of the more expensive coffee machines can brew single servings or full pots of coffee, espresso, and a wide range of coffee drinks. However, if all you’re looking for a brew pot full of black coffee each morning, you don’t need a Wi-Fi connected espresso machine with a built-in milk frother. Deciding what you or your potential gift recipient would want from a coffee machine is the first and most important step.
Should you buy a single-serve or drip coffee maker?
Keurig and Nespresso are two of the biggest names in the coffee machine industry for a good reason. Single-serve coffee makers are fast, convenient devices, and easy. It might seem that buying coffee in serving-size pods is expensive, but if often discard coffee you didn’t drink during the day, single-serve pods may be a good economic choice. Single-serve machines also make sense when different family members prefer different types of coffee. There’s such a wide variety of pods available in all single-serve formats that no one has to be unhappy. However, if you enjoy the coffee-making experience, then these devices are not for you. K-cups and Nespresso pods are fast and easy, but make sure that’s what you really want before you buy. If you do buy a Keurig, we’ve got you covered with a guide for how to clean a Keurig.
How much should you spend?
You can pay $20 to $2,000 or even more for a coffee maker or machine, so decide on your budget ahead of time. While you can definitely pick up a really cheap coffee machine, it’s often worth it to spend more. The difference between a $20 coffee maker and a $50 model is probably more significant than the differences between more expensive models. Most Keurig and Nespresso single-serve machines, for example, typically sell for $75 to $200, and knowing that going in can help you avoid sticker shock. If you currently spend $5 per cup, a decent machine saves you money quickly — assuming you stop buying at coffee shops.
